House of Cool in Toronto is seeking Design Interns! 

House of Cool is the leading studio in animation for Pre‐Production throughout the world. Together with our clients, the House of Cool team has worked to design stories and craft some of the worlds coolest Animated Series and Feature Films such as: Spies in Disguise (Disney/Fox) and Maya and the Three (Netflix). House of Cool has also worked on Next Gen (Netflix), Ferdinand (Fox), The Book of Life (Fox), Rio 1 & 2 (Fox) and many more productions!

About the Design Interns! 

  

Responsibilities 

  • Ability to do Character turn arounds or draw Location/Prop Designs from different angles and maintain volume and aesthetics
  • Participate in meetings and launches with clients and other designers 
  • Take creative direction and incorporate feedback into revised work 
  • Communicate progress and maintain deadlines issued from the Director and Production staff 
  • Attend seminars or other learning presentations 
  • Have fun! 

  

Requirements 

 

  • Be in the studio a minimum of 3 days a week between June 3 and Aug 23
  • Cool looking portfolio with Design samples. (Don’t be nervous, we just want to see how you build worlds with your work) 
  • Ability to tell a story with your Designs in Character, Locations and Props
